Adele Inspired Makeup on My Auntie

My aunt had a wedding to go to, and entrusted her face unto me!!! I had so much fun creating this Adele inspired look.

The key to an Adele-inspired look is a dark cut-crease blending up to a matte browbone highlight. The lid colour should also be light, with a shimmer inner corner and winged eyeliner. I toned down the eyeliner and added some lash inserts here. I went for a nude-pink lip colour that would not overpower the eyes, and I went for a strong cheek contour like Adele has. The whole look is very 60's mod inspired with a modern edge.

Products Used:

Face:
-L'Oreal face primer
-MAC Face and Body Foundation C5
-Laura Mercier Matte Translucent Powder
-Tarte bronzer in Parke Ave. Princess (heavy contour in the hollows of the cheeks, jaw and temples)
-Nars blush in Orgasm
-MAC eyeshadow in Charcoal Brown

Eyes:
-Urban Decay Primer Potion
-MAC eyeshadow in All That Glitters (shimmery nude colour on the main lid area)
-MAC eyeshadow in Carbon (matte black etched in the crease, outer corners and lower lashline)
-Too Faced eyeshadow in Like a Virgin (fluffed into the black in the crease and lower lashline)
-MAC eyeshadow in Red Violet (used to blend out the crease)
-Inglot eyeshadow #351 (matte cream shade on the browbone)
-Urban Decay eyeshadow in Sin (inner corners)
-Bobbi Brown Gel eyeliner in Caviar Ink
-Quo Lash Inserts
-Duo Lash Adhesive

Lips:
-MAC lipstick in Captive (plummy pink)
-MAC lipstick in Creme d'Nude (creamy beige)

Hope you enjoy!

MAC Face and Body Foundation

Hello! I have something to talk to you about!

MAC Face and Body foundation
MAC Face and Body foundation offers sheer coverage that is buildable. It sets on its own to a satin finish, but I find it requires powder on oily or combination skin. It contains cucumber and smells and feels fresh and lovely on the skin. They are fairly long-wearing, and blend nicely especially with a silicone-based primer.
But that is not why I am writing about them. I will be discussing the MAC colour system for their foundations.

Not all MAC foundations are numbered on the same scale, but for the most part, they are either NC (yellow undertones) or NW (peachy pink undertones). MAC Face and Body, however, are either C (yellow undertones) and N (peachy pink undertones).

They are then numbered based on how fair or dark they are. For example, C1 is a light beige with yellow undertones, and N7 is a warm russet colour.

Here are the 6 I bought! The swatch photos were taken in daylight. Click to enlarge.

So I went to MAC...

...Because Project 10 Pan is finished!!! Yayyy!

I bought Duo Lash Adhesive, MAC Lipstick in Captive, MAC Cremesheen Glass in Double Dare, and some foundations which I will make a separate post for.

Here is the lash glue!!

Duo Adhesive, clear drying

This stuff is like false-lash cement. Trust me, they aren't going anywhere. And you can remove it from your skin with a cotton swab and some makeup remover.

Here is the lipgloss!
Double Dare, awesome

Double Dare is a creamy berry red-pink shade, which will suit absolutely anyone. I am actually so excited about this because it has a warmer pink undertone but a plummy shine too. GAH!

Here is the lipstick!

Captive, yummy

This colour perplexes me. it is a beautiful, warm plummy pink on the lips, but looks a lot more red and not as dark on the stick itself. When I tested it at MAC, it felt much creamier, whereas the one I have feels more matte (though it is a "satin" finish). It is also darker and more opaque than I thought, but that could have been the fluorescent lighting at MAC. I like to sheer it out over lip balm, but it looks fabulous full-force, especially on darker skin tones! The colour is also extremely long lasting for a lipstick, possibly because it isn't so greasy. LOVE THIS!

Glue: 9.50$
Gloss: 22.50$
Stick: 17.50$

I'm A Little Monster! Lady Gaga Inspired Makeup

Pull on your shades 'cause I'll be dancing in the flames tonight.
I was listening to Gaga a few days ago and decided, despite the fact that I was off to work, that I HAD to go a little crazy with makeup.

Lady Gaga often has a cut crease in cool neutral tones with some black at the outer and inner crease of the eye. The eyeshadow should be lifted and pointed but still blended. Double cat eyeliner is a must, as well as strong contouring and highlighting, and a flawless complexion. Full red lips complete the Gaga look. She uses MAC's "MAC Red" but I do not own it, so...

Of course, Gaga always has awesome lashes, but like the Derpina I am I forgot to take care of that before I took these photos. I am sorry! I hope you enjoy anyhow :)

It would be so much more awesome with lashes!

Strong cheek contour and highlight...

Ridiculously red lips!

So 80's <3

Grr.
