Why I Love Sephora
If you have the Beauty Insider card from Sephora, points accumulate with every purchase. Eventually, they give you a free sample of a beauty product. On your birthday, you also get a free gift! My birthday is in march, so when I went in to purchase Jack Black lip balm (unrelated to the actor), I was very happy with what I walked out with! I misplaced my pictures....
I purchased Jack Black Lemon lip balm for under 7$. I had accumulated points, so I got a mini Jack Black Black Tea and Blackberry lip balm. These are BY FAR the absolute best lip conditioner or balm I have ever ever ever ever EVER used.
Hands down.
EVER!
But that did not stop me from accepting my birthday prezzie!
That's right! Sephora gave me a mini-duo box with these in them. These Sugar lip balms are really nice. They sell sort of lemony-sweet and roll on very smooth. The texture is not as thick and rich as the Jack Black one, but still has some good ingredients in it. One applies clear and one gives a natural pink stain to the lips.
Then Sephora gave me a sample of Chloe perfume.
Now look. I spent 8$, and I walked out with 4 lip balms and a perfume sample. Marvelous!

Happy St-Patrick's Day
Now because I hardly ever do anything normal, I decided NOT to do a green smoky eye and a clover on my cheek for St-Paddy's day.
Granted, I didn't leave the house looking like this, but that's beside the point.
So Illamasqua, an extremely expensive (sniffle sniffle) UK makeup company, recently launched a new collection called Human Fundamentalism. Now upon closer inspection of their website, you will find crazy makeup; the kind of thing that makes an obsessed little girl like me drool.
Anyway, here is their promo pic...
I know!!! Awesome, right?!
Well here is my attempt at re-creating this look, minus the blue wig and falsies. Instead, I mixed a whole bunch of different blue and green creamy products I had and brushed through my lashes with them using a clean spoolie.
Pardon the sloppy photos, my house was very dark. CLICK TO ENLARGE!
And how, you ask, did I make my eyebrows WHITE?!
The glue-stick method, my friend. I glopped on as much glue as I could, smoothed it out, and applied a ton of concealer over it. Then I powdered it. THEN I applied white eyeliner and eyeshadow in this here eyebrow shape.
As for the turquoise lips, I mixed a very intense teal pigment with a chunk of white eyeliner and a blob of clear lip gloss to make an intense blue lip colour.
In the photo, the model has some very heavy contouring going on. I just took some bronzer and etched it around my nose, following the bone that goes to my (natural) eyebrow. Then I blended it down toward the sides of my nose. I also added a bit under my nose for some more shape. I applied it generously to my cheeks close to my nose and brought it up into my temples. I dabbed some light gold shimmer down the center of my nose and on top of my cheekbones.
For the white eyeliner, I used a white pencil and dabbed white eyeshadow over it in a strong cat-eye shape. I did the same for the white mole.
The eyeshadow is fairly basic. Just a cream colour on the lid and inner corner, and medium taupe grey in the crease and a teensy bit of black and dark grey etched in the deep crease. I used dark grey under my lower lashes and flicked it out at the ends.
Products Used
Face:
-A glue stick layered over my eyebrows
-Cover FX full-coverage cream foundation, all over my face
-Tarte bronzer in Park Ave Princess, down the sides of my nose and on my cheeks
Eyeliner, eyebrows and mole:
-NYX jumbo pencil in Milk
-Inglot eyeshadow #496, white
Eyeshadow:
-UDPP
-Inglot eyeshadow #351, matte cream
-Too Faced Naked Eye palette: Pillow Talk blended in the crease in a round shape, a mix of Like Virgin and Unmentionables more detailed in the crease, and a tiny bit of Stiletto also.
Lips:
-Anabelle Studio Pigment eyeshadow in Dragonette
-NYX jumbo pencil in Milk
-Random clear lip gloss
Whoo! There ya go!

Project 10 Pan
If I added up the value of my kit, I think I would choke.
Clearly, I spend a lot of money on makeup.
For those of you who don't know, Project 10 Pan is a movement in the beauty community. Addicts such as myself vow to buy nary a product until 10 products we already have are empty, or "hit pan".
I have decided to partake because I need to learn to discipline myself.
So here are 16 products I am running low on...
Closeups!
First Row: Laura Mercier Matte Translucent Powder; Tarte bronzer in Park Ave. Princess; Nars blush in Orgasm
Second Row: Lancome Teinte Miracle Foundation; Makeup Forever Mat Velvet+ Foundation; Cover FX Skin Prep Nourishing Foundation Primer; Korres anti-aging primer; Laura Mercier Universal invisible loose powder; Nivea Rich Regenerating Night Care
First Row: Urban Decay 24/7 glide on pencil in Zero; Revlon Colorstay Eyeliner; Almay blendable eyeliner pencil in brown; Estee Lauder More than Mascara; Revlon GrowLuscious Mascara
Second Row: MAC eyeshadow in Carbon; MAC eyeshadow in Charcoal Brown.
I included 16 products in this Project because it's hard to say which I'm going to run out of. I'm seeing the foundations, eyeliners and mascaras running out quickly.
Wish me luck! My wallet will be proud :) In the meantime, I will post product reviews of things I have already photographed.

In the Mood for Summer Brights
I don't expect to see anyone wearing this to the grocery store, but if you suffer from overactive makeup disorder like me, sometimes this kind of thing may happen to your face.
Now don't get scared!
Closeup...
I used yellow and orange because they are analogous on the colour wheel. The look nice together and blend in together easily too. Try this with blue and green!
Products Used
Face:
-Foundation, Concealer, Powder
-Nars blush in Orgasm
-Tarte bronzer for contouring
Eyes:
-UDPP
-NYX jumbo pencil in Milk (blended creamy white pencil all over the eyelid to make the matte eyeshadows pop, and in waterline)
-Inglot eyeshadow #474 (light creamy yellow packed onto the main eyelid area)
-Inglot eyeshadow #60 (bright yellow blended in the crease and outer corner)
-Inglot eyeshadow #51 (bright orange etched in the crease)
-Nars eyeshadow duo in Scorching Sun (matte light orange used to blend orange into yellow)
-Inglot eyeshadow #496 (sparkly white on inner corners)
-Inglot eyeshadow #351 (matte cream shade on the browbone)
Lips:

So try playing with colour! Apparently, it's "in" this summer. That's what my co-workers at Forever 21 tell me, anyway.

Sally Hansen Nail Art Pens
Why hello there, lovely!
Now I don't know about you, but I am far too cheap to pay for manicures.
Far too cheap.
However, you may notice that I have a certain, errm, shall we say "enthusiasm" for bright, fun things. Like makeup. And nail polish.
SOOOOO, I present to you the Sally Hansen Nail Art Pen!
They come in a whole bunch on fun colours, and the pen design makes it really easy to write or draw pretty much anything on a nail. The creative possibilities score huge points for me. Bear in mind that the product has a sort of milky consistency so whichever colour you use (except white) will dry a bit lighter.
The only bad thing I have to say about this is that it really needs a generous top coat, or else it will fade within a couple of days.
If you think you can handle applying topcoat, then maybe try one out! You will have fun, trust me. Here is the nail polish I am wearing: http://lizzielovesmakeup.blogspot.com/2012/02/glittery-lilac-and-taupe-nails.html
These retail for around 7$.
Please send any requests to lizziehanley94@yahoo.ca

Deep Plum Smokiness
Hello hello!!! One way to do a smoky eye is with a medium shade on the lid and a darker colour blended in the crease... But today I felt like doing a more gradient smoky eye. You shall see what I mean!
It's shimmery. It's pink. It's purple. It's awesome.
I guess it's because I am a forgetful person, but I left my lips bare... again.

Vibrant Pink and Blue
Because I can.
So this is a basic blue cut-crease fading up to the brow, with a bright pink on the lids. I decided to keep the lower lashline clear because a) the eyes are already insane, and b) I was short on time.
Bear i mind that I had some trouble getting the lighting just right.
I also forgot lips gloss, but I will be posting soon about deciding what lip colour or product to wear along with different eye makeup.
Are you READY?!

Ahh, okay, not so crazy... |
