Sally Hansen Nail Art Pens

Why hello there, lovely!
Now I don't know about you, but I am far too cheap to pay for manicures.
Far too cheap.
However, you may notice that I have a certain, errm, shall we say "enthusiasm" for bright, fun things. Like makeup. And nail polish.

SOOOOO, I present to you the Sally Hansen Nail Art Pen!

Hot Pink

They come in a whole bunch on fun colours, and the pen design makes it really easy to write or draw pretty much anything on a nail. The creative possibilities score huge points for me. Bear in mind that the product has a sort of milky consistency so whichever colour you use (except white) will dry a bit lighter.

The only bad thing I have to say about this is that it really needs a generous top coat, or else it will fade within a couple of days.

If you think you can handle applying topcoat, then maybe try one out! You will have fun, trust me. Here is the nail polish I am wearing: http://lizzielovesmakeup.blogspot.com/2012/02/glittery-lilac-and-taupe-nails.html

These retail for around 7$.

Glittery Lilac and Taupe Nails

Hello!
I painted my nails today, and I thought it would look nice to layer a cool-toned light purple with a sheer taupe glitter. Try layering different polishes in your collection for a different look!

I really liked how this glitter polish looked with a lavender undertone.
Hah! Try saying that 5 times fast! Lavender undertone lavender undertone lavender undertone lavender undertone...

Fun Purple Nails

For Christmas, I got my very first crackle-style polish!
Welcome, Sally Hansen Crackle Overcoat in Ink Splatter.

Ink Splatter

I decided to pair it over a not-so-pale purple, because I didn't want too much of a contrast with the black. I used a Forever 21 nail polish. I can't find it anymore, but I believe it is called Love&Beauty Magenta. It is a gorgeous purple that is lighter than Makeup Forever #92 eyeshadow.
Silly comparison, I know.
Love&Beauty Magenta?

The Sally Hansen black overcoat is pretty matte somehow, but I used topcoat to make it shine. The splintery black areas are thinner and more sparse with a thin layer, and larger with smaller cracks if you use a thick coat.
Obviously two coats would not create a very nice effect.

Just thought this was a nice nail look for winter. Cooler tones, not glittery or too crazy. Hope someone out there tries this out!

The Forever21 polish retails for 2.80.
The Sally Hansen Crackle Overcoat is under 10$.
