Everyday Makeup

Hello, viewer! Sorry I've been away. I'm back now, stop complaining.

Now normally, I would never say that I have an "everyday" look, because my makeup is different every day. But I should probably post something that is wearable and easy to do, so here ya go!

I know these are not the best pictures, I'm working on that.

I look pale

Pinup on Redheads

This is Amanda. She is gorgeous.
I decided to do a simple, timeless look on her that could suit practically anyone, if it is tweaked a bit for different skin tones.
She had some makeup on already that I had to work around.
Cellphone was all we had for pictures.

Gorgeous!!!

Because Kanga-Rouge is actually that awesome!
Ok so I love this lipstick! Red looks fantastic on reds! Unfortunately, Kanga-Rouge was limited edition from a MAC collection a few years ago called Dame Edna. It was re-promoted this year but I did not know about it. A close dupe is MAC's MAC Red.

Products Used:

Face:
-Benefit Boi-ing concealer #01
-Nars Orgasm Blush

Eyes:
-Urban Decay Primer Potion
-Inglot Eyeshadow #351 (cream colour all over eyelids)
-Urban Decay Naked Palette:
  • Buck (traced along the crease, outer lower lashes)
  • Naked (to blend Buck up a bit)
-NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk (inner corners, waterline)
-Inglot Eyeshadow #496 (sparkling white, inner corners on op of NYX pencil, browbone)
-Rimmel Glam'Eyes black liquid liner (sort of cat-eye shape)
-Whatever mascara she was already wearing

Lips:
-Revlon Black Cherry Lipstick (outer corners of mouth, and slightly around lips shape)
-MAC Kanga-Rouge (THE best red ever. All over lips)

Amanda should model. Non?

Neutral Daytime Eyes with a POP of Colour

Hello people.
So I did my makeup like this because I wanted to keep it neutral.... But I can rarely avoid colour altogether!

Green!
 Closeup...
GREEEENN!!!
This is a really basic eye makeup look with a bright green eyeliner just in the lower waterline. It's a quick and simple way to amp up your eyeball routine without looking like a drag queen, although I like doing that too...

Ahh, so nice!
Products Used:

Face:
-Makeup Forever Mat Velvet+ Foundation #35
-Bobbi Brown Tinted Eye Brightener in Bisque (under eyes)
-Cover FX Full Cover Cream Foundation # M40 (on top of brightener)
-Laura Mercier Matte Translucent Shine Control Powder
-Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Dollface

Eyes:
-Urban Decay Primer Potion
-Urban Decay Naked Palette:
  • Sidecar (on the whole eyelid)
  • Hustle (in the crease)
  • Virgin (browbone and inner corners)
  • Darkhorse (on top of upcoming brown eyeliner)
-Inglot Gel Eyeliner #85 (lime green awesomeness in the waterline)
-Gosh Velvet Touch Eyeliner in Copper Girl (upper lashline)
-Maybelline Volum' Express One-By-One Mascara in Blackest Black

Lips:
-Dior Addict Ultra-Gloss in Flash

Hope ya like it! I will indeed be doing an anti-Valentine's Day look soon. :)

Urban Decay Naked Palette

It was boxing day.
There was no sale.
I was probably the last human being on Earth who did not possess this divine creation.

But NO LONGER!
Is it not beautiful?
Yes. The Naked palette from Urban Decay.
This thing came out a loooong time ago, I know, but being forbidden to purchase any makeup, I could not get it until now. Sorry, mom.
Of course, now would be the time or Urban Decay to come out with the Naked 2 palette.
On the back of the box
I must admit that I do have many neutral shades in my collection. I got the Alice in Wonderland palette from Urban Decay when it came out, and Sin came with it, so I now have 2 of those.
Generally, though, I am very happy with the colour palette because there really is something for everyone. Should come in handy when doing other peoples' makeup!

12 beautiful shades
 And  now for some closeups...

Virgin, Sin, Naked, Sidecar

Buck, Half Baked, Smog, Darkhorse

Toasted, Hustle, Creep, Gunmetal
 I shall swatch soon.
Here is what Urban Decay has to say about the palette:

Everybody wants to look good NAKED! Far from a group of boring beige shadows, Naked Palette's long, lean, seductive case is packed with TWELVE gorgeous neutrals, including FIVE NEW shades, and includes our pro-quality Good Karma Shadow Brush.

I know Virgin, Darkhorse, Buck and Naked are exclusive to the palette but I'm not sure about the other one. I got the one with the synthetic brush, not the duo Whiskey-Zero eyeliner. It also came with a mini-UDPP, which I LOVE! The mirror also makes it very convenient for travel.

Shadow Brush

Nice, soft bristles

Oooh, intimidating!

My only problem with this palette is the packaging... It is velvety and beautiful, but I can see it getting filthy quickly. At least it isn't terribly heavy like their Book of Shadows palettes.

Overall, I like it! I happily welcome this product to my kit. I can see it coming in handy in some great emergency. The shades are well pigmented, which is not unusual for Urban Decay, and I really like the wide range of neutrals in the palette.

This is available in Sephora locations and online for 48$. Being in Canada, I payed 58$ for it. :( I will cherish it!
